Planning a trip to Singapore and Malaysia
We had a long planning phase and looked up all the possible hotels etc. For hotels you can get a fairly great idea about the place by searching tripadvisor.
For the location of hotels and sightseeing locations the onion maps were so much easier to follow than the regular maps.
For booking hotels the cheapest rates by far were given by Marimari.com for Kuala lumpur and Singapore. But the apartment which we eventually booked was through Wotif as no other agent was giving a booking for it and the apartments also were not ready to give us a reservation over there directly. In Singapore we stayed at Somerset Apartments on Orchard road there were not many choices for serviced apartments for a very short duration of two or 3 days

Binsar - the valley and the Bird Sanctuary
Binsar has become our favourite haunt in the Kumaon hills, thanks to the excellent resort which Club Mahindra has in the valley about 20km from the bird sanctuary. We have already visited the place four times and seen all the attractions around the resort. This time we stayed mostly in the resort itself and just went on small trek to the villa where Club Mahindra is adding some log huts in the future

Animal Kingdom- Bowled over by Finding Nemo
On 23rd May 2007 we went to Disney Animal Kingdom. The park is open till 5pm only so we made the effort to reach as early as possible. We reached the park without losing our way and remembered to note down the parking lot number. From the parking we took the tram to reach the park. When we entered the park we went to Dinoland the Asia and then Africa. As soon as we entered we saw some animal exhibits. We went for the Bugs 3D movie the auditorium was part of the screen, it was little scary for the smaller children. We went for the Dinoride where they transport us back in time to rescue a dinosaur before they became extinct. But by far the best we saw was Finding Nemo it was a great show beyond expectations
